Welcome to Great Cape Herbs Online!

Great Cape Herbs practices and promotes Traditional Herbalism in all of its forms; Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurvedic Medicine, the herbal medicine of all indigenous cultures and, of course, our own Americanized variation of Traditional European Medicine (TEM). Our firm belief, and our guiding proposition is that "Herbs are the Peoples' Medicine".

Spring 2008 Pink Columbine

Spring greetings from the Great Cape Farm (AND Herbal Apothecary!!) :))

Well... Spring is HERE!! The daffodils are beginning to open; the birds are now seen carrying twigs, bark strips, and other nest-building materials; and the rabbits.... ah-- the rabbits.... well, the boy bunnies are friskily chasing the girl bunnies madly about the gardens in an amorous whirl of procreative passion that will lead to small bunnies with a voracious appetite for our herbs and veggies!! hmmmm.......
We have this year, a very handsome juvenile red-tailed hawk regularly circling the farm, who will undoubtedly make a meal or two of the garden-grazing bunnies; as will the pack of coyotes that live out back behind the Catholic Church; as will "Walter" our neighbors' jet-black cat; as will the foxes that occasionally pass through.... so I never worry that the grazing, raging randy rabbits will overpopulate our frisky farm!! (And I might just have a rabbit stew this coming autumn on a chilly evening, cooked with our farm-raised posh squashes and turnips and herbs !)
